Ms.
Williams’ love for creative writing began as a child.
She was reading by age four and writing stories by age six.
Ms. Williams earned her Master of Arts in Creative Writing
from Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio and is currently
working on her Doctorate of Education in Administrative
Studies and Teacher Specialization.
She is currently a professor of English composition and
literature, a public/keynote speaker and an Academic Dean
in Dayton, Ohio. Diary of a Diva is also the title of her
debut CD that includes several selections in spoken word
form and is available from her website yvettewilliams.com.
The book as well as the album gives the reader and/or listener
a first class tour into Williams’ soul.

dishonesty
by Yvette Williams
your
dishonesty...
is a sharp pain that starts between my legs,
cuts through my guts,
twists around my heart,
punctures both my lungs,
travels up my esophagus,
circles within my mouth,
and assists my lips and tongue to form the words...
...fuck you. |
