Angela Marsh
angela marsh works
Angela Marsh is a Cincinnati poet and freelance writer. She has recently been described as a hedonist and is actively devouring this newly appointed title. Since writing poetry is not regarded as productive employment, Angela is currently deemed jobless. She lives with her husband and finds it difficult to make time for anything that doesn’t please her in a selfish and/or abundant manner. There is not much we can do about it…she is Angela.

my turn, i say,
to fire without looking

caring about the way

i latched onto a soulfully weary
memory of a past life
and forgot to live this one,
until recently
i felt that god was somewhere within me
and now i know
that god is me
and when i grow tired
of your cordial lingo
and your lethargic eye staring
i can reach down inside
and become as big
as i need to be
this is power
not potential
